Refund & Return Policy

At MY GIFTORIA, we truly hope you love what you ordered. However, we understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned. This Refund & Return Policy outlines your rights and options in the event you wish to return a product, in full compliance with applicable consumer protection laws in France and the European Union, and consistent with the standards of payment providers such as Stripe and Revolut.

1. Your Right of Withdrawal (EU 14-Day Return Rule)

Under EU consumer protection law, you are entitled to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without needing to provide any justification.

To exercise this right, you must notify us within this 14-day window. You then have another 14 days to return the product(s) from the date you informed us.

2. Product-Specific Return Conditions

Please note that return conditions may vary by product. Each product’s individual return terms (if any) are specified on its respective product page. In case of any differences between a product-specific policy and this general policy, the product-specific terms shall prevail.

3. Warranty Card (if purchased)

If you purchased a Warranty Card with your product, its terms will take precedence over the default return conditions stated here. The warranty offers customized coverage that may include longer return periods or extended protection.

4. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return:

  • Contact us at info@mygiftoria.com with your order number and reason for return (if applicable).
  • We will send you return instructions and a Return Authorization Number.
  • Please package the item securely in its original packaging and return it via a trackable shipping method.

Unless the return is due to an error or defect on our part, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

5. Refund Processing

  • Timing: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, your refund will be processed within 14 business days.
  • Method: Refunds are issued through the original payment method using our secure Stripe payment system.
  • Fees: In some cases, non-refundable Stripe fees may be deducted from the refund (unless prohibited by local law).

6. Non-Returnable Items

Some items are not eligible for return due to health, safety, or customization reasons. These include:

  • Items that have been clearly customized or made-to-order
  • Personal items that have been unsealed (e.g. jewelry, teddy bears with custom messages)
  • Digital services (if already delivered or accessed)
  • Seasonal items that are no longer relevant at time of return
  • Gift cards or Warranty Cards (once activated)

7. Legal Exceptions to Right of Return

As outlined in Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the following situations are legally excluded from the right of withdrawal:

  • Customized or personalized products
  • Sealed goods which cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery
  • Items that are no longer in a resalable condition due to handling beyond what is necessary
  • Digital content, if delivery has begun with consumer’s consent
  • Gift cards or activated Warranty Cards
  • Perishable or time-sensitive items
